Pyrenees Insider Tips Classics and Hidden Gems in Spain and France
Pyrenees Insider Tips
A few scattered sheep graze on a barren plateau as a narrow strip of asphalt winds through the grass, shrubbery, and rocks—the only sign of human civilization. On the horizon, the tall mountains along the border between France and Spain rise up. In the western Pyrenees, the euphoria of timeless Tour de France memories seems distant. And yet, or perhaps because of this: these mountains are lonely, impressive, and breathtakingly beautiful.
The Pyrenees – a place of wonder!
This journey takes us in search of the unknown, untouched, and extremely lonely sides of the Pyrenees. It's the overlooked passes on both sides of the mountain range, never crossed by a Tour procession, and therefore perhaps preserving their original uniqueness.
So, we discover the hidden gems: through wildly romantic gorge landscapes in Aragon, steep climbs through mythical fog in the Basque Country, and lonely border passes in the high mountains like Port de Larrau or Col du Pourtalet. Who has heard of Alto de Fanlo, who knows the fantastic Col de la Pierre Saint Martin? We have put together a package that shows you the Pyrenees from a completely new perspective – between Spain and France, between Béarn, Navarre, and the Basque Country. Of course, a touch of classics like Tourmalet and Aubisque is also included. Who needs the Alps?
Come on a journey of discovery in the Pyrenees!
