Road bike holiday in the Tannheimer Tal

Fancy road cycling in the most beautiful high valley in Europe? Then off to Tyrol in the Tannheimer Tal! Between idyllic alpine meadows and the steeply rising peaks, a cross-border road bike Eldorado awaits you with well-maintained tarmac, quiet side roads and plenty of rolling gravel. Whether it's a beginners' route or an extended professional tour - there's something for everyone in the home of the legendary cycling marathon. Both on and off the road.

Discover one of THE high valleys of Europe!

From the foothills of the Alps to the high mountains - the valley's own cycle marathon demonstrates the immense diversity of the region on its routes. Depending on the performance profile, the route covers 214, 138, 103 or 66 kilometres over flat sections, short and long passes, fast and winding descents. There is hardly a better way to get to know the variety of road bikes in Europe's most beautiful high valley.

But the Tannheimer Tal at 1,100 metres above sea level also captivates road bikers away from the annual road bike spectacle: 22 varied tours stretch over 2,500 km. From here, you can head to neighbouring Allgäu, the Lechtal Alps, Lake Constance and even as far as the Arlberg. Anyone looking for a sporting challenge should put the 4-pass tour on their bucket list. In addition to countless metres in altitude and legendary passes, crystal-clear mountain lakes and imposing peaks, the valley also scores points with its traditional Tyrolean cuisine - after all, enjoyment away from the saddle should not be neglected on a road bike holiday.
