Passo del Ginestro
In Andora, you leave the Via Aurelia and after a challenging climb between olive trees and vineyards, you reach Colla Micheri. Time seems to have stood still in this enchanting medieval village, famous for the hospitality of the Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl. We recommend a visit, after which a pleasant descent leads to Laigueglia and quickly on to Alassio. After the steep climb from Moglio, you reach the Crocetta, where a photo of the bay is an absolute must, before continuing with strong legs along the panoramic road, which offers breathtaking views of both the sea and the Ligurian hinterland. After the village of Testico, the ascent to the Passo del Ginestro begins, the summit of which is 677 metres above sea level. Just enough time to take a deep breath before descending into the valley, surrounded by lush olive groves, past Cesio, Torria, Chiusanico and Pontedassio. The last reserves of energy are needed to tackle the final climb of the day to Diano Arentino. Before heading back to the hotel, we recommend a stop in Diano Castello!
