After a beautiful ascent to the Arlberg, a wonderfully quiet route in the middle of the mountains awaits you to two crystal-clear lakes. Swimming only for the hardy.

Tour route: Mellau - Schoppernau - Hochtannbergpass - Lech - Spullersee and Formarinsee and back again.

We start with a barely noticeable ascent to Schoppernau. This is where the Hochtannberg Pass begins, which takes us up to 1670 metres. A short descent to Warth and the winding route to the fashionable winter sports resort of Lech follow. If you need refreshments, you should stop here (the quiet village of Zug and the Alps are only open in high summer). The small road to Spullersee and Formarinsee is asphalted throughout, but closed to cars: a wonderfully peaceful mountain world at the source of the Lech river. Return along the same route with a new perspective of the surrounding mountains to the Hotel Bären & Café Deli.
