Giro d'Italia 2015 e 2026
The route is inspired by the two stages organised in our region - the stage of the Giro d'Italia 2015 and this year's stage. Starting from the upcoming stage in May this year, the journey leads from Imperia to Albenga, winding through the hills of the immediate hinterland and then returning along the coast to Andora. The route then continues with the ascent to Testico and the Passo del Ginestro, a mountain pass that offers spectacular views of the Ligurian hinterland. The subsequent descent takes you through Chiusanico, Chiusavecchia and Sarola - characteristic villages of the Valle Impero - before you arrive back in Imperia. This is a circular route of around 130 kilometres with breathtaking views.
