A 101 km route through the Chianti Classico and the Sienese Valdelsa, characterised by vineyards, historic villages and constant ups and downs. After San Gimignano, the tour leads to Poggibonsi, past the area of Poggio Imperiale, and onwards along winding roads to Castellina in Chianti, in the centre of the Chianti Classico. The descent takes you to Monteriggioni, famous for its fully preserved medieval town walls. A short detour to Casole d'Elsa rounds off the tour before returning through the small districts of Quartaia and Campiglia near Colle di Val d'Elsa.
