This extensive cycle tour connects the South Tyrolean lowlands with Trentino and runs mostly flat along the River Adige. From Tramin, the route takes you via Neumarkt onto the cycle path, which leads through orchards and open valley areas to Salurn and on across the language border. After San Michele all'Adige, the Piana Rotaliana opens up, a well-known wine-growing region that also has plenty to offer culturally with places such as Mezzolombardo and Mezzocorona. The route leads along quiet side roads and cycle paths in a wide arc back to the Adige and finally back to South Tyrol at Roverè della Luna. The route is suitable for different types of cyclists and offers many opportunities for breaks, short visits or wine tasting along the way. The tour is particularly pleasant in spring or autumn, when the temperatures are mild and the landscape unfolds its special charm.
