Ötztal Cycle Marathon
The Ötztal Cycle Marathon is one of the toughest and most legendary one-day cycling events in Europe. Every year, around 4,000 racing cyclists take on the enormous challenge of conquering four Alpine passes in one day: Kühtai, Brenner Pass, Jaufen Pass and, as a spectacular finale, the Timmelsjoch. With around 227 kilometres and around 5,500 metres in altitude, the marathon demands everything - both physically and mentally. Steep ramps, long climbs, changing weather conditions and the altitude make the race a real borderline experience. At the same time, the impressive Alpine backdrop, the perfect organisation and the enthusiastic spectators along the route create a unique atmosphere. The finish in Sölden is an emotional highlight for many participants and an expression of months of preparation. The Ötztal Cycle Marathon is more than just a race - it is a myth and a lifelong dream for ambitious racing cyclists.
