Road bike tour in Emilia Romagna
Start in Cesenatico and cycle south-west over gentle hills to Bertinoro (km 38), where the Giro winner Pambianco is commemorated. The route continues over several steep climbs, including the famous Passo Ciola, a tough but scenic section. The highlight awaits from kilometre 151: 18 spectacular hairpin bends lead up to Sogliano al Rubicone - the "little Stelvio Pass of Romagna". The way back runs over hilly terrain with steep ramps. A total of 203 kilometres and 3,530 metres of ascent, some of which include difficult sections.
