Road bike tour along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road

Day tour: Follow the Grossglockner High Alpine Road in the direction of Carinthia, via the well-known village of Heiligenblut, until you reach the village of Döllach. There you turn round and climb the Großglockner in the opposite direction.

ALTERNATIVELY, you can also continue from Döllach further south to East Tyrol and drive via Matrai i.O. and the Felbertauern tunnel to Mittersill (see Glockner/Felbertauern tour). If you take the narrow-gauge railway from there, the total distance is also approx. 103 km. NOTE: It is not permitted to cycle through the Felbertauern tunnel. You have to change to a shuttle bus, which will chauffeur you safely through the tunnel.
