Matic, the hotel’s road bike expert, knows the little-frequented roads in the area that are perfect for your road bike holiday and training. He’s available to answer any tour-related questions during your stay – and will also share the odd insider tip with you.
The “Valley of Green Gold” is a real gem for road bikers: ride between green hop gardens and dense forests, on cart paths or gravel roads or the nearby alpine passes in the region.
Explore the Solčava panoramic road on a gravel bike or climb the Gora Oljka mountain with an impressive panoramic view of the surrounding Alps. The next day, you can ride your road bike through the Savinja valley and across the surrounding passes into the Alps.

Wir beginnen unseren Tag im Hotel Grof und radeln über malerische, hügelige lokale Straßen am Žovnek-See vorbei nach Braslovče. In Braslovče angekommen, fahren wir weiter nach Parižlje und über den Fluss Savinja nach Polzela. Hier biegen wir links ab und radeln weiter flussaufwärts entlang der Savinja in Richtung Šmartno ob Paki. In Skorno angekommen, fahren wir rechts entlang des Flusses Paka nach Florjan, wo wir links nach Bele vode und Lepa Njiva abbiegen. Wir beginnen unseren ersten längeren Abstieg in Richtung Mozirje und Mozirski gaj Gärtnerpark. In Mozirje folgen wir der Beschilderung in Richtung Golte, biegen aber kurz vor der Seilbahn Golte links in Richtung Rečica ob Savinji ab. In Spodnja Rečica überqueren wir erneut den Fluss Savinja und radeln weiter in Richtung Trnovo und Šmartno ob Dreto, gefolgt vom längsten Anstieg des Tages zum Lipa-Pass. Sobald wir den Pass erreicht haben, beginnen wir die Abfahrt nach Vransko und zum Hotel Grof.
