Upper and Lower Savinja Valley road bike tour

We start our day at Hotel Grof and cycle along picturesque, hilly roads past Lake Žovnek to Braslovče. Once in Braslovče, we cycle on to Parižlje and across the Savinja River to Polzela. Here we turn left and cycle further upstream along the Savinja towards Šmartno ob Paki. Once in Skorno, we turn right along the river Paka to Florjan, where we turn left towards Bele vode and Lepa Njiva. We begin our first long descent towards Mozirje and Mozirski gaj Gardeners' Park. In Mozirje, follow the signs towards Golte, but turn left towards Rečica ob Savinji just before the Golte cable car. In Spodnja Rečica, cross the Savinja River again and continue cycling towards Trnovo and Šmartno ob Dreto, followed by the longest climb of the day to the Lipa Pass. Once we reach the pass, we begin the descent to Vransko and the Hotel Grof.
