The beautiful Savinja Valley in Slovenia can be explored in many ways on a road bike. Endless routes take you between hops fields, via forest and gravel paths along the Savinja and past waterfalls as you cycle through the unspoilt valley.

Set off on a bike tour on the Solčava panoramic road with its wonderful views or the predominantly flat side roads between Mozirje, Nazarje, Ljubno and Gornji Grad. Cycle trails of various difficulty levels will amaze both road cyclists and mountain bikers, as well as families who will enjoy cycling past the farmsteads along the adventure-packed trails. The heart of the lower Savinja Valley is the home of the green gold of the hops fields, which have been cultivated here for more than 140 years.

The upper Savinja Valley and beautiful Logar valley with the crystal-clear, green Savinja river will leave you lost for words. Surrounded by small hills, mountain plateaus, plains and the Kamnik Savinja Alps, the valley offers many starting points for a range of varied cycle routes.

Cycle over numerous mountain passes, ride on the Solčava panoramic road with its beautiful views, climb up to the Golte ski region or cycle on side roads that will take you into the flat areas around Celje, Žalec, Trbovlje, Zagorje ob Savi, Vransko, Mozirje and Gornji Grad. Enjoy the authentic green nature below the impressive amphitheatre of the two-thousand metre peaks and experience the cultural heritage of the further Savinja region.
