Hotel Arndt is situated in the sunny south of South Tyrol, in Tramin at the wine route just 4 kilometres away from Lake Kaltern, to be precise. But the home of the Gewürztraminer offers more than just a good wine. This road bike hotel is the perfect starting point for many road bike tours in the valley basin and to various passes. From here you can start tours to the Stelvio Pass and the Gampen Pass. The road bike season starts very early in Tramin thanks to the mild temperatures. Wearing good cycling apparel, you can ride on the Mendel Pass even in winter. Lake Kaltern in the vicinity makes the region a popular destination for triathletes.

Rennradtour über den Gampenpass nach Mezzocorona

Ein weiterer Klassiker, erst durch Obstplantagen nach Lana. Von dort die Gampenpassstrasse hoch, der erste Teil ist meist stark befahren, doch desto höher wir kommen umso ruhiger wird es. Die Steigung zum Pass hat es in sich, nach einem kleinem Einkehrschwung genießen wir die Abfahrt nach Fondo. Dort steigt es wieder ca. 300 Höhenmeter zum Mendelpass, am Anfang etwas steil bis zu den Schlusskilometern mit ca. 2 % Gefälle. Ein Einkehrschwung bei Mara und dann die super Abfahrt nach Kaltern und Tramin. Eben ein Klassiker!!!
