"Das Schloss an der Eisenstrasse" is a racing bike hotel located on the right bank of the Ybbs in the small historical town of Waidhofen. You can enjoy a varied racing bike holiday in a unique atmosphere. A comprehensive range of leisure opportunities await you, ranging from outdoor activities to culture and delicious cuisine.

The rooms are comfortable and modern. In an area covering 650 m², the hotel offers several small saunas, a relaxation room and an indoor pool where you can relax. Use of the hotel fitness studio and, in summer, the 10,000 m² outdoor pool in Waidhofen are included.

Kleine Waidhofner Marathonrunde

Abwechslungsreiche, relativ einfache Runde mit zwei leichteren Anstiegen durch alle acht Gemeinden der Ybbstaler Alpen.

Nach dem Start in Waidhofen geht es zunächst ins Tal der "Kleinen Ybbs". Die Strecke führt durch Ybbsitz und kurz danach rechts Richtung "Maria Seesal" in den Zogelsgraben. Eine angenehme Steigung über knapp 4km, gefolgt von einer flotten Abfahrt, bis man die L92 erreicht. Hier rechts abbiegen und über "Brettl" und gleich wieder fallend Richtung Gaming fahren. An der Kreuzung wieder rechts nach Gaming bzw. Richtung Lunz am See. Am Beginn des "Grubbergs" verlassen wir die Bundesstraße und biegen rechts auf eine die Straße Richtung "Pfaffenschlag" ab. Duch dieses wildromantische Tal gelangen wir auf eine kleine Hochfläche. Wir befinden uns hier direkt neben der alten Schmalspurbahnstrecke des Ötscherlandexpress (Lunz-Gaming) - Idylle pur! Nun kurvenreich bergab und stets gut rollend nach Lunz am See. Hier geht es scharf rechts durch den Ortskern zur Ybbstal-Bundesstraße. Dieser folgen wir nun stets bis Waidhofen - die letzten 50 km sind somit gänzlich ohne Steigung.
