The road bike region around Lake Como, the third-largest lake in Italy, convinces with its picturesque places, chic villas, perfect parks and mountains that stretch to the lakeside. The countless panorama roads meander through the impressive mountain world – the ideal terrain for road bikers who like diverse tours as well as relaxation.

Exciting and historic road bike routes can be found around Bellagio. A must on your road bike holiday is definitely the Madonna del Ghisallo, the patroness of road bikers. This ascent, made world-famous by the Giro di Lombardia and the Giro d'Italia, leads to a memorial church which also accommodates a bicycle museum.

Known as one of the most beautiful routes is the Triangolo di Lanario to the summit of the Sormone Mountain. After 13 kilometres and an average incline of more than 10%, you enjoy a fantastic view to Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. Starting from the picturesque village of Varenna at the lakeside of Lecco, you follow the tracks of Tony Rominger who won the Giro di Lombardia for the second time in 1992. The 17-kilometres long ascent ends with a stunning view to the Agueglio Pass.

Dieser durch den Giro di Lombardia und den Giro d'Italia weltberühmte Aufstieg führt zu einer Gedächtniskirche, die auch ein Fahrradmuseum beherbergt.

Als eine der schönsten Strecken gilt der Triangolo Lariano zum Gipfel des Berges Sormano. Nach 13 Kilometern und einer durchschnittlichen Steigung von über 10% genießt Du eine fantastische Aussicht auf den Comer See und die umliegenden Berge. Auf den Spuren von Tony Rominger, der 1992 seinen zweiten Giro di Lombardia gewann, trittst Du vom malerischen Varenna am Seeufer von Lecco in die Pedale.
