This ascent, made world-famous by the Giro di Lombardia and the Giro d'Italia, leads to a memorial church which also accommodates a bicycle museum.
Known as one of the most beautiful routes is the Triangolo di Lanario to the summit of the Sormone Mountain. After 13 kilometres and an average incline of more than 10%, you enjoy a fantastic view to Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. Starting from the picturesque village of Varenna at the lakeside of Lecco, you follow the tracks of Tony Rominger who won the Giro di Lombardia for the second time in 1992. The 17-kilometres long ascent ends with a stunning view to the Agueglio Pass.
