What the roadbike expert says
The Tyrolean Highland area is well known for its tour possibilities in the 3 countries of Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. What is special here is that you can combine a variety of well-known tours and mountain passes, and all that within a radius of 100 km. One of my top “favourite training tours” is the Zweiseenrunde (2 lakes circuit). This follows the trail of the Romans along the Via Claudia Augusta at the Reschensee lake. Here you should take a break at the Alt-Graun church tower, a symbol for the creation of the flooding that was necessary to form the reservoir. The route continues past the Haidersee lake to Burgeis. You can ride back via Planoil or the Langtauferertal valley, making a tour of 70 km.
