What the roadbike expert says:

The selective racing bike tour (about 4 hours, 1100 vertical metres, 110 km) starts right from the Sport Vital Hotel Zwettlerhof in Zwettl an der Rodl and leads in its entirety along good, tarmac roads. At the start, there is a 3 km climb via Dreiegg to the spa town of Bad Leonfelden.
From Bad Leonfelden, you cross border into the Czech Republic. You can watch kayakers paddling on the Vltava River, and turn off to the Moldaustausee (Vltava reservoir) in hilly Cesky Krumlov. When you arrive at the reservoir, you can enjoy the beautiful lake view of the Lipno promenade. The way back is via a small open border crossing at Guglwald, via Vorderweissenbach, Bad Leonfelden, enjoying the woody, hilly landscape again on the way back to Zwettl an der Rodl, the gentle hills ideal for getting a bit of speed up. If you want a shorter tour with fewer vertical metres, then you can leave out the trip via the Czech Republic, and ride on the numerous agricultural roads from Bad Leonfelden back to your starting point (approximately 50 km, 800 vertical metres).
