Alta Badia - Gröden

… the Roadbike region with the most Alpine passes

The scenery around the Sella massif forms one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world, and is recognised as a UNESCO National Heritage Site. It is a region that makes even professional competitive cyclists work up a sweat.

Roadbike season

May - October

What the roadbike expert says:

The name Kronplatz is well-known amongst keen cyclists.
The summit is the most difficult mountain stop on the Giro d’Italia. It’s only the strongest cyclists who are able to take the enormously steep inclines at speed. The Furkelpass is one of the many beautiful climbs in the region. It’s my favourite insider tip. One advantage of it is the tiny amount of traffic. The Grödner Joch is a real must for any racing biker in this region. The view of the breathtaking Dolomites massif cannot be beaten, almost making you forget the steep climbs you have had to overcome to get there.
