Bike season

May - October

The climate from May to October is perfect for road biking. The Dolomite Passes are very busy during the summer months. Our tip: best go for the quieter off-season.

Peaks and passes wherever you look

In Arabba, holidaymakers are right in the heart of the Dolomites. Wherever you look, there are bizarre rock formations everywhere. The steep incline of the southern side of the Sella Group rises up high in the north of this winter sport destination and the panorama of the Marmolada – the highest peak of the Dolomites – impresses in the south. And where there are mountains, there are pass roads not far away, and there are plenty of them around Arabba.

Crisp tours for sporty racing cyclists

Very easy tours are more the exception than the rule in this region. If you get on your racing cycle here, then you should have already clocked up quite some training kilometres and tours of at least 2.000 altitude metres should not put you off. Anyone with enough power in their legs will experience a unique mountain landscape, which has maintained its authentic character, here in South Tyrol.

Sella Ronda Bike Day

The famous Dolomite Passes, the Sella and Gardena Pass as well as the Pordoi and Campolongo Pass, belong only to cyclists once a year. These passes are closed for motorised traffic on the Sella Ronda Bike Day. This means for racing cyclists – full steam ahead!

Maratona dles Dolomites is a stable in Arabba

The legendary racing cycle event was staged for the first time in 1987. Back then, only 166 cyclists took part. The amateur race has become a legendary event of international standard and attracts several thousand racing cycle fans every year. The route leads directly past Arabba.
