Bike season

March - October

Thanks to its mild climate, you can enjoy good cycling in Trentino as early as mid-February. From the start of May it begins to get warm. This is the best time for tours.

Racing cycle holidays in the Trentino
The Sugana Valley and the Fiemme Valley in the eastern part of the Trentino are great racing cycle regions and Lake Garda is nearby. Varied tours on perfect, almost traffic-free roads, a diverse topography and fantastic panoramas are good arguments for this region.

Racing cycling in the Sugana Valley
A wide range of diverse racing cycle tours can be found in the Sugana Valley around the Lago di Caldonazzo and the Lago di Levico. One realises quickly that the possibilities for tours are unlimited: La Marcesina Tour or rather the classic tour to Asiago, one of the most famous racing cycle tour as such? The difficult tour into the Cembra Valley or into the beautiful Valle dei Mocheni with its very own traditions and the pleasure of cooling down in the waters of the Lago di Caldonazzo?

One of the most popular route leads along the tracks of WWI. The first part of the tour runs across the very scenic and attractive “Kaiserjägerstraße“, a former channel of supply which was knocked into the rock during WWI. A high plateau with a sensational view is reached after 800 metres in altitude. The roads are in perfect condition and almost traffic-free. Anyone who prefers a more difficult route will get what their heart desires on tours to, for example, Lake Lavarone or up to the Passo del Manghen.

Racing cycling in the Fiemme Valley
One of the many good reasons for racing cycling in the Fiemme Valley is the 50 kilometres long Dolomiti Cycling Track which leads across Fiemme Valley from Molina di FIemme to Canazei. It is the ideal starting point for all racing cyclists to warm up for the ascents to the Dolomites Passes.

The ascent to the Pampeago Alm, which has been stage finish during the Giro d’Italia five times already, is definitely one of the region´s classics. Countless cycling tours with extraordinarily beautiful views lead across the four Sellaronda Passes, to the Marmolada, into the Rosengarten group, the Latemar Dolomites, the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park, to the Rolle Pass and into the Lake District of Levico and Kaltern. Highlight of the annual road bike season is the Marcialonga Cycling Race which already has a firm place in the hearts of cycling enthusiasts.

The tour to the Monte Baldo may be exhausting and may take an entire day but is a must in every tour portfolio. Starting in Torbole, the tour leads along the lake to Garda. From there, you leave the lake’s shore and take on the first, still gentle ascent to Caprino Veronese. There is almost no traffic. The steady ascent leads then to Novezza. The ascent starts to become more difficult from there. A short breather provides the downhill run to the Bocca Navene Hut before the ascent to the Graziani Hut requires some true grit. After a short break you will look forward to taking the descent in direction Brentonico, continuing to Mori.
