Racing bike holidays in Emilia Romagna
Emilia Romagna is a great racing biking region that is especially attractive thanks to the diversity it offers; Monte Carpenga, the Appennines, Monte delle Forche and Adria. Very suitable for spring training for clubs, guided pleasure tours, triathlons, or challenging marathons. The coastal resorts of Cesenatico, Rimini and Riccione are good starting points for the many tours that stretch into the hinterland.

A popular region for racing biking in Italy
This is the birthplace of Marco Pantani and from the middle of March, cyclists explore the same routes as he used in his training. The region is very popular for racing bikers. The good asphalt roads are often practically traffic free and fit road bikers will appreciate the round trips into neighbouring Tuscany.

The most beautiful view of Emilia Romagna
Almost only racing cyclists share the amazingly quiet side roads and serpentines through small villages and towns. Sogliana and Roncofreddo are places that you should certainly visit when on a racing biking holiday. The two climbs of nearly 300 vertical metres along hairpin bends offer you a wonderful view over Emilia Romagna.

Roadbike & More in Emilia Romagna
On tour free days, or after a tour you can find relaxation, enjoyment, and fun in Bologna, the capital city of the Emilia-Romagna region, in the most famous thermal baths in Italy and on the beaches of the Adriatic.

Lovely cycling routes start in Cesenatico, both easy and challenging tours for bikers of every level. The best seasons for a racing biking holiday in the Emilia Romagna region are spring and autumn when this popular bathing destination is not so crowded.

My tour tip takes you from the spa resort atmosphere of Cesenatico to the foothills of the Apennines in the Tuscany region of Romagna. The first 30 km to Folimpopli are on the flat. From Meldola you then go constantly uphill to Galeata. The climb to the Monte delle Forche (444 m) then begins on the Strada San Zeno.
