An excellent network of small roads with little traffic and cycle tracks ensures a stress free racing biking holiday in the Allgäu region. The routes here are of various difficulties and are very popular. Cyclists can ride along next to each other as a group without any worry. These are great roads that are a pleasure to ride.

Racing biking in in the Allgäu region
A sporty challenge is the mountain stage to the Ober Pass. The Grünten Tour leads from here into the partner region Tannheim Valley and further via Pfronten into the alpine uplands of the Allgäu. Refreshment on tour is guaranteed when following the tracks of the priest Sebastian Kneipp. Taking a refreshing break at one of the many Kneipp pools should be a must. Anyone looking for refreshment in nature should visit the pristine moor and lake landscape of the Westallgäu-Bodensee holiday region.

Racing bike holidays: Roadbike & bathing
If you fancy a dip in a lake, then visit the original moor and lake region of Westallgäu-Bodensee. The tour in the footsteps of Pfarrer Kneipps also guarantees a refreshing dip. In the places that he worked, Bad Wörishofen, Ottobeuern and Bad Grönenbach, it's hard to pass by without wanting to take a break at one of the many Kneipp places.

It’s a good job that we’ve done enough training to get fit as we can now enjoy taking a little detour to the highest pass in Germany that it is possible to ride over, namely the Riedbergpass. The mountain stage up the Oberjoch is also athletically challenging, with a little side trip into the partner region, the Tannhmer Tal Valley.

The 3 lakes circuit starting from Sonthofen, well-known as the starting venue of the “TransAlp" tour, is one of my favourite tours. This round-trip is full of variety, and is really quite demanding with its many climbs. You get a lasting impression of the scenery of the southern Oberallgäu region from the 3 lakes, the Rottachsee, Niedersonthofener See and the Alpsee, as well as the Hörnerdörfer villages.
